Monday 3rd June – Belfast. Talk at the Linen Hall library 2pm, preceded by a tour of the sites of Hispanic interest in Belfast. Cost £5 for non members of the Hispanic Society of Carrickfergus and £3 for members.Tuesday 4th June – Carrickfergus. Tour of the museum and Ron’s talk. Free to members of the Hispanic Society of Carrickfergus, and £2 for non members.Wednesday 5th June – Carrickfergus. Architectural tour of 16th century building. If suppliers of Spanish materials would like to promote their business they would need to join the Society or sponsor the event to the same value (ie £20). Can I leave Laura to contact them, as they do not respond to my emails.Thursday – 6th June – Potential of a talk in about Barossa and the link with the Royal Fusiliers. Potentially at the Royal Fusiliers museum.Friday – 7th June – Potential of a tour of Spanish sites in the County Armagh area.
One day during the week the Portadown library are organising for children to mount foreign coins and notes from Hispanic countries on a map. Date to be confirmed. There will be a virtual tour of Islandmagee viewable on line free for members. Others pay £5.There will be a virtual classroom for people who want to learn Spanish free for members of the Society, £10 for non members.
