The Spanish summer school will take place from 3-7 June 2019. We are already backed by the Belfast Book Festival and Oxfam. The Book Festival will officially release its dates in January 2019. Already we have a great line up of tours, flamenco. We are negotiating with the libraries in Portadown and Carrickfergus to engage with them, we are also looking at having one event in the Linen Hall Library Belfast, and perhaps a tour of the secret Spanish sites in Belfast as well.
The Hispanic Society of Carrickfergus adheres to the General Data Protection Act 2018. If you would like to add yourself to the list, just email me your name and surname, email address and telephone number and I will add you to the list.
HISPANIC SOCIETY OF CARRICKFERGUS
Carrickfergus is a small seaside town on the north Antrim coast. It is a lovely little place, with a beautiful castle. We started investigating the links between Northern Ireland and Spain and were delighted to have found several, some of which we will visit on the tour during the Spanish summer school which took place from 23-28 July.
Some of the aims of the Society are to seek cultural and heritage links between Northern Ireland and Spain, to promote those links to a wide audience and to raise the profile of Carrickfergus as a tourism destination. We will be taking membership subscriptions at the Spanish summer school.
to assist with other links with Spanish / Hispanic projects and business in Northern Ireland
